Sandra Lee "Mimi" Clay, age 69, of Elm Mott, passed away early Thursday morning, September 8, 2016 at her residence. Private family services will be held at a later date. Sandra was born February 21, 1947 in Rochester, NH, the daughter of Leon and Pauline (Hull) Cormier. She was a graduate of Spaulding High School in Rochester and attended nursing school at Hale Hospital in Haverhill, MA. Sandra served her country as a nurse with the United States Army. On March 17, 1985 she was united in marriage to Frank Clay in Nottingham, NH. Frank preceded her in death in 1986. She was a licensed vocational nurse at Haverhill Manor Nursing Home for over 20 years. Sandra enjoyed knitting, playing bingo, buying new gadgets, baking bread and tending to her bird feeders. She especially loved spending time with her family. Sandra is also preceded in death by her parents and a brother, David Cormier and his wife, Betty. Survivors include daughters, Candice Towery and husband John and June Romain; a sister, Pat Zyliak; grandchildren, Shane Banks and wife Robin and Samantha Banks; great grandchildren, Braydon and Kevin; her Yankee Family in New Hampshire; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
